End Illinois’ unfair school funding system

Why?

Illinois has the most inequitable school funding system in the nation, creating school districts of the haves and have-nots, where wealthier districts invest as much as $30,000 per student and poorer districts invest as little as $6,000.

When Illinois taxpayers are spending an average of $88,000 to incarcerate a child but only $12,500 to educate them, doesn’t that tell you the system is broken?

For decades, this unfair system has shortchanged children in every part of our state of the great education they deserve. We can't ask another generation of children to wait for education funding reform in Illinois.
